Newsletter information
If you join the weekly note, Manner & Means collects the email address you provide and the page that referred you. That information is sent to Kit, the email service used to confirm subscriptions, deliver messages, record engagement needed to operate the list, and process unsubscribes. You must confirm your address before the welcome sequence begins.
Subscriber information is kept in Kit while the subscription is active or as reasonably needed to operate and document the list. Kit's privacy policy and data-processing terms explain its practices. Manner & Means does not buy, scrape, or sell email lists.
Website and measurement data
The website's hosting and security services may process basic connection information such as IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, and timestamps to deliver and protect the site.
Manner & Means uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page views, visits, referral sources, countries, and page performance. Cloudflare describes this service as cookie-free, says it does not use local storage for usage measurement, and says it does not track individual visitors or collect their personal data for Web Analytics. See Cloudflare's data collection explanation.
When a reader follows an eligible commercial link, the destination and participating affiliate service may receive the page address, referral information, basic browser or device details, IP address, and cookies or similar identifiers used for attribution and fraud prevention. Other sites operate under their own privacy terms.
Your choices
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Browser privacy controls can limit or clear cookies used for affiliate attribution, although doing so may prevent Manner & Means from receiving credit for a purchase. To ask what subscriber information is held, correct it, or request deletion, email hello@mannerandmeans.com. This publication does not request card numbers, government identification numbers, or financial-account credentials.
Children
Manner & Means is written for adults making household decisions and is not directed to children under 13.
